The Resurrection: Timeline of the Women

The gospels contradict each other regarding whether the sun had risen when the women arrived at the tomb.

Mark 16:2

"And very early on the first day of the week, when the sun had risen, they went to the tomb."

John 20:1

"Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene came to the tomb early, while it was still dark..."

Analysis

Mark explicitly states the sun had already risen, whereas John explicitly states it was still dark. This is a classic chronological contradiction regarding the most important event in the Christian narrative.
